Motivation is a process that start, guides and keeps the goal-oriented behavior of a person. Motivation is what causes us to do something and it is because of a reason behind our action like getting a glass of juice to cut thirst. And motivation is very important in handling a person especially in the field of management. Motivation drives an employee to show his or her full potential on a certain job. However before you can motivate that person, it is very important also to know the basic, especially his or her needs. But what are these needs?Facebook Fanpage

Some people might confuse regarding their status/condition on their current employer. I know most of you heard about the Probationary status, Regular or even Temporary in your company’s Human Resource Department. But what are these terms and how can you say that you are on that status? Is it necessary that you should know about these conditions?
Regular Employee
A regular employee or permanent employee is a person who passed through a probationary period of employment. Regular employee is placed on the regular rolls/activity of the company or one who is assigned to perform work directly related to the regular operations of the firm. A regular employee is employed without a definite period and the employer may not terminate his services except for a just cause or when authorized by law. And they even receive benefits like healthcare, holidays, sick leave, etc.
What is “Employment without a definite period”?
An employment is deemed to be without definite period where the employee has been hired without any specific date of termination or period of employment.Probationary employee
A probationary employee or worker is a person hired to occupy permanent or regular position in the company for a specified trial period to prove if he is acceptable for the job. The probationary period is usually from three to six months or even a year. This period is important to determine employee’s fitness for the job or for learning the job.The probationary period is a span/period of time during which the employee is under observation on his actual job. It aims to help the new employee learn valuable concepts and to prove or show his potential on the company’s job or for regularization during his first several months of work experience. Probationary Employee could be dismissed without a probable cause. Also, the employer and the employee should agree or there will be an agreement between the two regarding the probationary period.
Temporary Employee
An employee hired to perform work in a specific project, job, or period, upon completion of which the worker’s employment is terminated. Failure to terminate the employee on or before the expiration of the period of contract or completion of the job, in the case of temporary or casual employment, or of a probationary employment may qualify the employee for regular or permanent employment.
Contractual Employee
A contractual employee is hired on an individual employment contract basis to perform work on a specific project. The duration of such employment is indicated in the employment contract, which may not exceed six months. It is an employment based on contract.Casual Employee
An employee hired for only a few days or few months at a time to work/perform a unit of work or to fill a gap in the absence of another employee, or a worker who is hired occasionally and intermittently especially during peak production periods. Casual employees may or may not possess special trade skills or qualifications; they are not in the permanent payroll of the same employer.Photos from Marcato Festival and Dilanchian
All of us wanted to destroy the stronghold of corruption. Here’s “Boto mo iPatrol Mo” campaign of ABS-CBN that persuade the people to show the results of injustice or caught-in-the-act scene of corruption. But despite this campaign, still not all the people have the guts or the technology and still the justice is elusive. What are the reasons why still people can’t find the justice and can’t fight the corruption on their own place?
Power of the Person/Company
If you’re just an ordinary person fighting a BIG person or BIG company, it is a hard fight for you to overcome or to win. There are people who are very silent even though the corruption is already in front of them. Others said, “Just close your mouth; they might hear you and you will be dead!” People are afraid to those who have powers and cannot fight equally.Underground Agreement
There was an incident and it is about a worker that despite of their effort s in working on this company they didn’t have the right salary; no overtime payment although they had, no benefits despite of a very long time service on the company. They visited a government office to consult about their problem, but, unfortunately this office had an underground meeting with their unjust company. Still the justice is very blurry.Others will might say, “it’s a common topic, corruption again?” and my answer to that is “Yes” but you might didn’t know the procedures and why corruption and injustice still exist here in our country, because we failed to know the minor parts. We failed to see what really happened why people prefer to commit crimes than working on a descent job.
Do you have any experiences about injustice and corruption? Are you a victim also? Share your experiences here…

Being a leader is not an easy task. At the most basic level, a leader is someone who leads other. But what makes someone a leader? What is it about being a leader that some people understand and use to their advantage? What can you do to be a leader? Here's what you need to know and do.
A leader is a person who has a vision, a drive and a commitment to achieve that vision, and the skills to make it happen. Let's look at each of those in detail.
Leadership vs. Management
Many people confuse about management and leadership. Questions were raised about what is the difference between management and leadership. But there is a specific answer formulated by certain group. According to them, the biggest difference between managers and leaders is the way they motivate the people who work or follow them.
To differentiate more about Leadership and Management, here are the following reasons why they are different from each other.
Management
Managers have subordinates
According to a definition, managers have subordinates - unless their title is honorary and given as a mark of seniority, in which case the title is a misnomer and their power over others is other than formal authority.
Authoritarian, transactional style
Managers have a position of authority vested in them by the company, and their subordinates work for them and largely do as they are told. Management style is transactional, in that the manager tells the subordinate what to do, and the subordinate does this not because they are a blind robot, but because they have been promised a reward (at minimum their salary) for doing so.
Work focus
Managers are paid to get things done (they are subordinates too), often within tight constraints of time and money. They thus naturally pass on this work focus to their subordinates.
Seek comfort
An interesting research finding about managers is that they tend to come from stable home backgrounds and led relatively normal and comfortable lives. This leads them to be relatively risk-averse and they will seek to avoid conflict where possible. In terms of people, they generally like to run a 'happy ship'.
Leadership
Leaders have followers
Leaders do not have subordinates - at least not when they are leading. Many organizational leaders do have subordinates, but only because they are also managers. But when they want to lead, they have to give up formal authoritarian control, because to lead is to have followers, and following is always a voluntary activity.
Charismatic, transformational style
Telling people what to do does not inspire them to follow you. You have to appeal to them, showing how following them will lead to their hearts' desire. They must want to follow you enough to stop what they are doing and perhaps walk into danger and situations that they would not normally consider risking.
Leaders with a stronger charisma find it easier to attract people to their cause. As a part of their persuasion they typically promise transformational benefits, such that their followers will not just receive extrinsic rewards but will somehow become better people.
People focus
Although many leaders have a charismatic style to some extent, this does not require a loud personality. They are always good with people, and a quiet style that give credit to others (and takes blame on themselves) are very effective at creating the loyalty that great leaders engender.
Although leaders are good with people, this does not mean they are friendly with them. In order to keep the mystique of leadership, they often retain a degree of separation and aloofness.
This does not mean that leaders do not pay attention to tasks - in fact they are often very achievement-focused. What they do realize, however, is the importance of enthusing others to work towards their vision.
Seek risk
In the same study that showed managers as risk-averse, leaders appeared as risk-seeking, although they are not blind thrill-seekers. When pursuing their vision, they consider it natural to encounter problems and hurdles that must be overcome along the way. They are thus comfortable with risk and will see routes that others avoid as potential opportunities for advantage and will happily break rules in order to get things done.
A surprising number of these leaders had some form of handicap in their lives which they had to overcome. Some had traumatic childhoods, some had problems such as dyslexia, others were shorter than average. This perhaps taught them the independence of mind that is needed to go out on a limb and not worry about what others are thinking about you.
It is clearly that being a leader is different from being a manager. And some people failed to differentiate and some will said that “he’s is not a good leader” but the fact is “he is a manager not a leader”. It is better to understand the differences between a leader and a manager but it doesn’t mean that this two terms will on the opposite lines but they can be both inherit by a person and it will depends on the circumstances.

Isang balita ang biglang gumimbal sa akin kaninang madaling araw. Yes, gumimbal talaga. Isang video ang inilagay nang isang friend ko sa Facebook tungkol sa Bloomber report. Sa kanilang headline na
Bloomberg reports that Philippines is Leading Asian Tiger Economy of the World
"Talaga?" Yan ang una kong nasabi nang mapanood ko ang nasabing video.
Ayon sa balita "
Philippine economy to possibly outgrow China ", as in? Tatalunin nang Pinas ang China? At sa description nang video, "is beating China's growth". Grabeh na talaga! At isa pa, "Philippine Peso is the 3rd best performing currency in Asia next to Japan's Yen and China's Yuan". Pangatlo sa pinakabest sa lahat nang currency sa Asia, awesome. At ayon din sa report "Investors have growing confidence in the Philippine Government and its economy." talagang magandang balita ito!
