LIHOK ASTIG: Gaano ba ka-ASTIG ang kanilang Adhikain?

The Lihok ASTIG (Alliance of Students for True and Integrated Governance)-IIT is a socio-economic and political party of MSU-IIT, established and organized by idealistic Christian and Muslim student leaders. Its diverse members are unified and integrated in their longing for a better KASAMA, following the principles of accountability and responsibility, justice and solidarity, and integrity. The philosophy of the party is anchored on “Human Dignity” - an inherent right to be regarded with respect, to be treated and accepted as an equal, and to have equal access to the basic needs to live a decent life.

We have a clear political ideology, built on the core value of HUMAN DIGNITY, guided by principles of Christian and Muslim social teachings - to be spelled down to concrete and credible political concepts and programs.

Vision:
An empowered political party unified to protect the dignity and welfare of every student, to effectively address their academic and social problems and to protect the environment.

Purpose:
• To serve and protect the students of MSU-IIT
• To empower students in nation building through outreach and community involvement
• To promote multicultural relationship and eliminate ethnic discrimination

Mission:
We aim to strive for the achievement of human development, basic freedom, moral renewal and solidarity for all MSU-IIT students, to increase the level of awareness of social conditions by initiating socio-civic activities and to promote socio-political awareness inside and outside the university.
