SoftBank Corp, a Japanese company, announced that they were planning to start selling a smartphone that could detect radiation. Some parts of Japan are still off-limits and fears about radiation levels still exist. Pantone 5 107SH is the first smartphone to have the radiation detector as a company's response to the radiation concern.
Geiger Counters are the traditional devices used for measuring radiation, but according SoftBank founder and president, Masayoshi Son, smartphones are easier to carry and to use. Pantone 5 has also the ability to keep track off and display radiation location data by the use of Internet maps.
Pantone 5 will start to sell on July.
It is very convenient and very helpful to the people who are afraid of contacting any radiation and also to the countries that uses Nuclear Power Plants.
