To all JPOP and Anime Song fanatics! This is the contest you are waiting for.
The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines is inviting all Japan lovers and music enthusiasts to showcase their singing powers and join this year's J-Pop Anime Singing Contest.
The contest is open to all Filipino amateur performers/singers with 1 to a maximum of 10 members in a group. Any age groups are welcome to join. Japanese nationals aren't allowed to join as the lead participant. But still, they can join as participant's back up dancer or musician. In a group, the Japanese nationals who are members should no exceed more than half of the total number of member of the group.
Participants can
- Play his/her/their musical instrument/s while singing
- Singing in a capella
- Can use Minus-one as long as it comes from an original music CD.

J-Pop Anime Singing Contest application form are available at the Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) Library, Embassy of Japan, 2627 Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City or can be downloaded below or visit their website www.ph.emb-japan.go.jp
Requirements
- a duly accomplished application form along with an individual/group photo.
- short write-up about the performer/group
- a demo CD containing two Japanese songs by the participants
The top ten performers/groups who will pass the screening will be invited for the Grand Finals, to be held on July 21, 2012 at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall. Registration will end on June 22, 2012.
